There is an old fashioned solution to shine hair and that is to squeeze pure and apply it directly to your hair to make it shine

Shine hair results from softer water use; most hair becomes dull and dry when the water is hard, so use water softeners for shine hair

To use a water softener use the following. Take a cup of warm water and add a tablespoon of water softener powder like, Calgon, 20-mule Borax, etc.). Use this soft water to rinse any hair shampoo out of your hair. Now you may rinse out the rest of shampoo with regular showers/bath water.
